What people are saying about us!
I started attending the Boys and Girls Club when I was about 9 years old, it was a safe place for me during my youth. People cared about me! I began working at the Club when I was 16, it was my first job and the job that gave me a work ethic and showed me that working with children and youth was my passion. When I was unsure about attending college due to finances, I received scholarships from the Club and pursued my dream to become a Child and Youth Care Practitioner. I built my confidence as a CYC during my employment at the Club and was able to expand my skills enabling me to work, for the past 20 years, in the residential and school based sectors as well as community agencies Now, after completing my Bachelors and Masters I am a professor at Lambton College in the CYC program.
As a kid, the Club’s motto was “Every kid has potential”, and it is a motto I live by everyday.
Thanks to the Club for seeing my potential.

Since starting French tutoring with Bella, at the After School program, I have seen a real improvement in my sons grades as well as his interest in school.
The Club always has fun things for us to do and listens to our ideas.
